Bryan S. Jeffrey, JD, CPA Bryan has more than 24 years experience in public
accounting focusing on high-net-worth individuals, their families and their businesses.
He has considerable expertise with partnerships, corporations, trusts and estates
with particular emphasis in business acquisitions, healthcare, construction real
estate, aviation taxation, political organizations and wealth transition issues.
Before forming Jeffrey Phillips Mosley & Scott, P.A. in 1987, which expanded
to JPMS Cox, PLLC in 2004, he was a certified public accountant with Deloitte Haskins
& Sells.
Bryan serves on the board of directors of the Arkansas Arts Center and is a member
of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Arkansas Society of
Certified Public Accountants.

Phillip W. Cox, CPA
With more than 35 years of professional tax experience, Phil represents a wide range
of clients, including healthcare entities, financial institutions, not-for-profit
organizations, and construction and real estate firms. Before joining JPMS Cox in
2004, Phil was a partner and director of tax services for Deloitte & Touche
in Little Rock, the U.S. accounting arm of Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu.
Phil is active in civic and community matters, having served on the boards of Baptist
Health, and Metropolitan YMCA, and the Arkansas Arts Center, among others. In addition,
he is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the
Arkansas Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Jim L. Phillips, CPA
With more than 29 years experience in public accounting, Jim works in the areas
of income tax, business and estate planning for closely-held businesses, high net
worth individuals, and real estate and financial institutions. He has extensive
experience in financial institution taxation. Jim serves as the firm’s managing
partner. He worked for Deloitte Haskins & Sells in Little Rock before forming
Jeffrey Phillips Mosley & Scott, P.A. in 1987, which expanded to JPMS Cox, PLLC
in 2004.
Jim is a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and
the Arkansas Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Steven Booth, CPA
Steven joined the audit department at JPMS Cox, PLLC in 2004 after twelve years
with Ernst & Young, LLP. Steven specializes in manufacturing and agricultural
entities as well as financial institutions and employee benefit plans. Steven is
responsible for overseeing the firm’s employee benefit plan practice and the
Small Business Services department.
Steven currently serves on the executive committee as the immediate past Chairman
of the Board of Directors of the Better Business Bureau of Arkansas and is a member
of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Arkansas Society
of Certified Public Accountants.

Mallory
Taylor, CPA
Mallory joined JPMS Cox, PLLC in 2004 after twelve years with Deloitte & Touche.
He specializes in serving financial institutions, real estate, and pass-through
entities.
Mallory serves on the boards of the Arkansas Repertory Theatre and the UAMS Consortium.
He has served as an adjunct professor of taxation at Hendrix College in Conway,
Arkansas. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants
and the Arkansas Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Gary
Cooper, CPA
Gary oversees the operational aspects of the firm’s tax consulting and compliance
practice. Gary works in the area of income tax with a focus in construction and
real estate and closely held businesses. Gary has been a featured speaker for the
Arkansas State Society of Certified Public Accountants, Lorman Education Services,
and the National Business Institute. Prior to joining JPMS Cox, PLLC in 1997, Gary
was with Ernst & Young, LLP.

Mary Ellen Vangilder, CPA
Mary Ellen joined JPMS Cox, PLLC in 2004 after five years with Deloitte & Touche
where she was the firm designated Arkansas state tax specialist. She was previously
with another “big four” firm prior to joining Deloitte & Touche.
Mary Ellen specializes in the areas of multi-state taxation, high net worth individuals,
nonprofit organizations, and comprehensive tax and strategic planning.
Mary Ellen is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants
and the Arkansas Society of Certified Public Accountants.
